Dubai Launches New Initiatives to Strengthen Community Bonds

Dubai is taking significant steps to enhance community connection and belonging with the launch of five new neighbourhood councils and a unifying digital platform, ‘My Dubai Communities’.

Announced recently, this dual initiative aims to boost the city's renowned liveability and foster greater social cohesion among its diverse population.

In collaboration with the Community Development Authority, Dubai Municipality is establishing physical neighbourhood councils in:

- Nad Al Sheba II
- Al Awir II
- Al Barsha South I
- Al Warqa II
- Hatta

These councils are designed to be local hubs that support community needs and strengthen neighbourhood ties.

Complementing the physical councils is the new digital platform, ‘My Dubai Communities’. Unveiled by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the platform serves as a central online space connecting people across the emirate.

"Today, we have launched #MyDubai Communities, a new digital platform that offers citizens, residents, and visitors the opportunity to discover communities across Dubai that align with their passions and interests" Sheikh Hamdan stated.

The platform already offers access to around 100 interest-based groups, catering to various ages, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds. It aims to simplify finding and joining groups, encouraging interaction, cooperation, and shared experiences.

Together, these initiatives underscore Dubai's commitment to building a socially connected and inclusive environment, reinforcing its position as a leading global city to live, work, and visit.
